This weekly community program serves and informs the Central Coast Hispanic Community on many important topics. Hosted by the well-known and highly respected community influencer and leader, Esmeralda Montenegro Owen who tirelessly interviews community leaders, professionals and non-profit groups to provide critical information to the public every week. The show is facilitated by La Buena’s top afternoon personality, Ivan González. Tu Voz, Tu Comunidad program covers varied topics including health, education, economic improvements plus much more offering in-depth information and resources to the Central Coast Hispanic Community.

Esmeralda Montenegro Owen, Host, Tu Voz, Tu Comunidad
Esmeralda is a public relations, marketing, and television production consultant in the Central Coast. She works with various non-profits to help advance their missions and serve more youth and families in the area.
Esmeralda is a broadcast journalist who graduated from USC in Los Angeles and began her career with Univision 21 in Fresno, Telemundo 48 in the Bay Area, and lastly with Univision 67 in the Central Coast. She went on to earn a Masters Degree in Public Administration at NDNU and transitioned to marketing, public relations, community relations, and more, with radio and television as part of her daily life. She loves to volunteer as a mentor to youth, she belongs to the board of directors for Informed Choices in Gilroy and the Hospice Giving Foundation in Monterey County.
In addition, Esmeralda is an adjunct professor of Communication Studies at Gavilan College in Gilroy. She enjoys making a difference in people's lives and with that in mind, she published her first book, Beautiful, 7 Steps to the Best Version of You in 2019 - an inspirational work where her own story as an immigrant is highlighted openly.
